Do you want to get approved for Google Adsense but don't have a clue about how to go about it? If you're tired of scratching your head over what to do and how to do it, this lens reveals EXACTLY what you need to do to in 5 easy steps.
Along the way, I'm going to point you to some resources to help you get approved for Google Adsense and to increase your knowledge of making money from Adsense.
AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google Inc. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered by Google and generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Google beta tested a cost-per-action service, but discontinued it in October 2008 in favor of a DoubleClick offering (also owned by Google). What happened to the pay-per-action beta? In Q1 2010, Google earned US$2.04 billion ($8.16 billion annualized), or 30% of total revenue, through AdSense."Google Announces First Quarter 2010 Financial Results". Google. Retrieved June 18, 2010.
In this module,I've outlined the first step you need to take to get approved for Google Adsense.
Step 1: Go to Blogger.com and sign up for your free account.
Why Blogger? Here are 3 reasons why: (1) You need a blog or a website to run Adsense ads on and Blogger makes it as easy as 1...2...3 to create your own blog, publish it and run Adsense ads on them; (2) Google loves content from Blogger blogs. And in case you didn't know, Google owns Blogger; and (3) my favorite reason - it's FREE! (note: a free hosted blog is OK to set up to get your Adsense publisher ID when you're starting out and/or to test out your niche ideas without investing any of your own money. But if you want to establish yourself, be taken seriously in your market(s) and get paid from it, you'll definitely want to get your own "dot com" domain name and put up your own self-hosted site.
What you're doing here is creating a Google account - enter an existing e-mail address, create a password at least 6 characters in length and enter the name you want to use when you sign your blog posts.
Just go to Blogger.com right now and get your account set up today.

3 Reasons Why You Should Use Blogger

Step 2: Naming Your Blogger blog and Choosing the URL
Take a little time to research this and give some thought to selecting a name for your blog and choosing a URL because .....For example, if your topic is " fitness training tips for golfers ", then you might want to name your blog "Golf Fitness Training Tips". You might want to use http:/golf-fitness-training-tips.blogspot.com or http://trainingtipsforgolfers.blogspot.com as the URL (note: the hyphen [-] is the only non alphanumeric symbol that can be used in creating a URL for a blogspot).
Step 3: Bring Your Blogger blog To Life
How To Make Your Blogger blog Look Like A Real Website
If you want to make your blog look more like a website and "pimp out" the template to make it more appealing to the eye, I'm going to show you where you can get some cool Blogger templates and a cool script that can make your blog stand out!
When you set up your blog in step 1, you probably noticed that Blogger has a number of pre-made templates for you to choose from and use. The default template is Minima and if you want to change it, just click on the one you like the most and save it. You can easily change your template anytime you want.
If you find the regular Blogger templates to be a bit too boring for your tastes, it's pretty easy to change them. You should definitely check out (1) BTemplates.com and (2) Free Blogger Templates for blogspot templates to make your blog more attractive. I discovered these sites while doing a Google search for "free blogger blog templates" and found some very eye catching templates. Another thing I do to make my Blogger blogs more attractive is to hide that dorky Blogger navigation bar that appears at the top of your blogspot by adding a simple script to the HTML of your blog template. In the following module, I've posted a YouTube video that shows you exactly how to do this, so go ahead and check it out now.
You can also add or delete page elements or change the fonts & colors of your blogspot from the Template tab under Edit Layout.
Step 4: Create Content For Your Blogger Blog
3 Tips For Creating Commercial Content For Your Blog
Step 4: Create commercial content for your blogspot! This step is HUGE because without it, you're not going to get approved for Google Adsense. So to help you, here are 3 tips on how to create the blog content for your Blogger blog:
Tip No. 1: Stay clear of topics that are "spammy" or lack commercial intent
Don't choose topics like debt consolidation, Mesothelioma , or Adsense as blog topics to get your Adsense publisher ID. BUT make sure you choose a topic that's commercial enough for big G to run/show Adwords ads on it. You can save yourself a lot of frustration by entering your topic in Google's search bar and seeing if there are any Adwords advertisers showing up on the right side of the search results. If you don't see any ads or there a just a few, go back to the drawing board an pick a more commercial topic.
Tip No. 2: Don't keyword stuff your blog posts
Don't over use your primary keyword phrase in your posts. A good formula to follow is 1 instance per 100 words. You can have your primary search term appear in the title of the post, in the first sentence of the first paragraph of the first sentence, in the middle paragraph and in the last sentence of the last paragraph of the post.
Tip No. 3: Write 3 - 4 solid posts for your blog
By "solid" I mean informative posts that are article length - approx. 400 words. You're going to publish to your blog every other day. For example, if you make your first post on Monday, you'll make your second post on Wednesday and your third post on Friday.
You could do what I did as an alternative. I created 2 detailed, informative posts on my subject. I spaced the posts 2 days apart, added a detailed topic related "About" page and added an RSS feed covering news about my topic. The day after I made the second post, a Saturday, I applied for my Adsense publisher ID. I was approved the same day.
The key to getting approved on my first attempt? I believe the key to my getting my Adsense publisher ID was the quality of my content, which was a direct result of my in-depth knowledge of my topic and just a teeny little bit of writing ability.
Step 5: Apply for Your Adsense Publisher ID!
Step 5 - apply for your Adsense publisher ID You can apply for Adsense through Blogger.com from your blogspot's Template tab under Page Elements sub heading or you can submit your application thru the main sign up page for Adsense . Click the sign up now button and follow the instructions.
